IPL 5 Eliminator: Chennai Super Kings vs. Mumbai Indians

Chennai Super Kings under the leadership of MS Dhoni have done marvelously well in the last four IPL series and they know what it takes to win the IPL championship. That being said, they have not played to potential and only made the playoffs because Bangalore Royal Challengers lost their last game.

Mumbai Indians on the other hands have been impressive in patches. They are being led by Harbhajan Singh who has not had the best tournament with the ball. This match in many ways will be determined by the captains. MS Dhoni, who is called captain cool, is known to hold his nerve in pressure situations. Harbhajan on the other hand is a volatile character and has already shown that he is capable of exploding when it goes down to the wire.

The match will take place at Bangalore, a neutral venue for both teams. The toss, the batting strategy, field placements and bowling changes will play a critical part in determining the end result of this match and the captains will have to wear their thinking caps at all times.

Both teams have a strong line-up but in the end, it all comes down to who will perform on the day. CSK will have to decide whether they field Michael Hussey or Faf Du Plessis as their overseas opener, while Mumbai have to decide whether they use Levi, Gibbs or once again try James Franklin at the top of the order.

The key players for CSK will be MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina and Albie Morkel while Mumbai Indians will rely on Sachin Tendulkar, Lasith Malinga and Rohit Sharma. This match could very well go down to the last over and even a score of 140 should be competitive.
