JP Duminy to Lead the Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils - JP DuminyJP Duminy, the South African cricketer, has been appointed as the captain of the Delhi Daredevils for the IPL 2015 season.

Although there are some who feel that other players would have been better choices for the position of captain, the head coach, Gary Kirsten, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Daredevils, Hemant Dua, fully support the decision to have JP Duminy as captain of the IPL 2015 Delhi Daredevils team.

“JP is the right choice to lead the team for the upcoming season,” said Gary Kirsten. “He has the necessary experience and demeanor to take the team forward. I have seen him progress and mature as a player and leader through the years with the South African national team. I look forward to working with him in the upcoming IPL season.”

Hemant Dua agreed: “We at the franchisee believe JP Duminy is the right choice to lead the Delhi Daredevils team. He has the necessary credentials and his track record is proof of his experience.”

Dua further noted: “He is a composed individual and well respected by his teammates and peers. We at Delhi Daredevils are confident that under his guidance and leadership we will have a great IPL 2015 season.”

Duminy has been an important member of South Africa’s national cricket team, and made his way into the international cricket arena in 2004. The experienced cricketer is looking forward to leading the Delhi Daredevils.

“I’m grateful for the support and belief from the franchisee. It’s an absolute privilege to lead such a talented mix of players. I am excited about the season ahead and sincerely hope we will be able to turn around the fortunes of DD in the upcoming IPL season,” said Duminy, the new Delhi Daredevils captain.
