The Indian Premier League provided us with weeks of quality and entertaining cricket. As always, there are players who have excelled, and are recognized for their achievements.
Batting in the 2018 IPL
Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Kane Williamson retained the Orange Cap until the end of the IPL. He made a total of 735 runs during the T20 cricket competition. Rishabh Pant took send place for the most runs with 684, and Lokesh Rahul came in third with 659 runs.
Rishabh Pant made the most sixes with a total of 37 sixes, and the most fours with 68 fours. He also achieved the highest score with 128 runs not out. Krishnappa Gowtham achieved the best strike rate of 196.87.
Shane Watson got the most centuries with two centuries, while Rishabh Pant, Ambati Rayudu, and Chris Gayle each made one century. Kane Williamson got the most fifties with a total of eight, while Lokesh Rahul and AB de Villiers each made six half centuries.
The biggest six distinction went to AB de Villiers who hit a six 111 meters away. MS Dhoni reached 108 meters.
Bowling in the 2018 IPL
Andrew Tye, playing for Kings XI Punjab, took the highest number of 24 wickets throughout the Premier League. Rashid Khan and Siddarth Kaul, both players for Sunrisers Hyderabad, held the second and third place, each taking 21 wickets.
The best bowling figures of 5/14 in the 2018 IPL is held by Ankit Rajpoot. Nitish Rana had the best bowling average of 11.000, and Ish Sodhi ended with 5.86 for the best economy. Rashid Khan achieved the most dots with 167 during the league.
Jofra Archer bowled the fastest ball in this year’s IPL at 152.39km per hour. Next came Billy Stanlake with a speed of 151.38km and hour and then Jofra Archer with 150.82km an hour.
