Chennai Super Kings Reach the Top

The Sunrisers Hyderabad had topped the 2018 Point Table until earlier today. The Indian Premier League is halfway through, and while the Sunrisers Hyderabad had already played eight games, the Chennai Super Kings had only played seven so far.

Chennai Super Kings in the Lead

The Chennai Super Kings won their eighth match today, and moved past Sunrisers Hyderabad, and slipping into the top position. Although both teams have won six games and lost two, the Chennai Super King are slightly ahead of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The order of the rest of the teams on the Points Table has not changed at this time.

Dhoni and Watson Take the Team to the Top

Although the win was certainly a combination of factors, it is clear that Shane Watson and MS Dhoni took their team to a win. Shane Watson and MS Dhoni both made half centuries with Watson ending on 78. Dhoni made 51 not out, and Rayudu managed 41 runs.

Between Watson and Dhoni, the two blitzed their way through to a combined 129 for the team helping to take the Chennai Super Kings to their sixth win. Although Vijay Shankar and Rishabh Pant each made 50s, it was not enough for the Delhi Daredevils, and they reached their sixth loss.
