The India cricket tour of South Africa is over. India has played well, winning both the One Day International series, and the Twenty20 International series. South Africa took the Test series that started off the tour.
T20I Win for India
Going into the third, and final, T20 match, the series was drawn 1 – 1. Despite a late assault from South Africa’s Christiaan Jonker, India won the final match. The visitors ended the match with a win of seven runs. India had made 172 runs, setting a run target of 173. South Africa missed it as India restricted the hosts to 165/6 in the 20 overs format.
In the final game of the series, India went in to bat without their skipper. Virat Kohli had been injured, and was only able to take part by supporting his team from the side.
Although South Africa had a good assault later in the match, the beginning saw the hosts off to a slow start.
South Africa beat India in the Test series 2 – 1.
India beat South Africa in the One Day International series 5 – 1, with South Africa only winning on their day in pink.
India beat South Africa in the T20 International series 2 – 1.
