India Beat Bangladesh in Nidahas Semifinal

The Indian team had set a total of 176/3, after which they restricted Bangladesh to 159/6 in 20 overs. India’s captain, Rohi Sharma, played well. He scored 89 runs off of 61 balls. Sharma’s total included five sixes and five fours. Suresh Raina made 47 runs for India’s total.

Washington Sundar, a spinner, struck down three of Bangladesh’s players in just 22 balls. He helped give the Indian team an advantage early in the game while he reached his personal career best figures.

Sharma was announced as the Man of the Match. He said: “It was important for me to step up. As I said in the toss, it was important for me to take my time initially. Bowling with the new ball isn’t easy for a spinner, but hates off to him (Sundar)… The partnership between me and Raina was good.
Sharma continued to praise Sundar’s bowling, noting: “I can understand a little bit of nerves there, but he’s a great talent, and he’ll go strength to strength.”

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

Bangladesh and Sri Lanka still need to play their semi-final match in order to eliminate one of the teams. Once there is a winner, the Indian cricket team will know what they are up against in the final.

Both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have two points each. Sri Lanka had beaten India in the first game of the tournament. Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by reaching a large target set by the host team.
