India v Bangladesh Betting: 3rd T20i Cricket Tips

By Craig Simpkin on November 8, 2019

After a shock defeat in the first T20 international between the sides, India got back on track with a resounding eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh on Thursday to level the series. However, the hosts didn’t have things all their own way, and the Tigers will be hopeful of clinching their first-ever T20 cricket series victory on Indian soil. Matters are poised very nicely heading into Sunday’s decisive third and final match of the campaign as we take a look at some India v Bangladesh betting tips.

What are the cricket odds for India v Bangladesh Betting?

Having set off very nicely in Rajkot to find themselves a very healthy 83-2 after ten overs, Bangladesh’s players may already have been dreaming of creating a slice of history for their country.

But spin pair Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar reined in the Tigers’ middle order, and in the end, their total of 153-6 looked far below being a par score.

And so it proved. Rohit Sharma tucked into a buffet of wayward bowling to smash 85 from just 43 balls, and in doing so, he rose to the top of the world rankings for most sixes hit in 2019.

In the end, India got home with more than 30 balls to spare, and we expect them to be in similarly destructive mood in Nagpur on Sunday. The hosts haven’t lost a game in any format at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium since 2011, and while Bangladesh have proven a plucky opponent so far, expect India’s class to shine through in the decider.

You can back them at best odds of 1.13 with Betway, while another underdog win for Bangladesh can be backed at 6.00.

Match Odds Summary: India 1.13 (Betway – Editor’s Pick), Bangladesh 6.00.

What are the top batsman odds for India v Bangladesh?

India have started their last two innings’ like a train, with Bangladesh unable to prevent them scoring at a quickfire rate in the powerplay overs. It’s only when turning to spin in the middle overs that the Tigers have thrived.

And so a satta on either Indian opener in this market is a smart choice, although we expect Sharma to lead from the front once more at 3.25 with Bet365. Shikhar Dhawan is available at 4.00.

KL Rahul isn’t in the best of form, but he clubbed 71 against England in the last T20 at this ground and so becomes of interest at 3.75, while Shreyas Iyer – scoring his runs at a strike rate of 175 in this series – is a dangerous proposition at 6.50.

Bangladesh are just about getting by without Shakib and Tamim Iqbal, but there is intense pressure on Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah to post a big total from the middle order.

Mushfiqur starred in the first ODI with 60 not out and is 4.33 for a repeat, while captain Mahmudullah is 5.50 to lead his troops with the bat.

Chahal and Sundar have been outstanding for India with the ball, so it might be wise to bet on one of the opening Bangladesh batsmen to thrive before that duo comes into the attack. Mohammad Naim, with scores of 26 and 36 so far, could be poised to go big: he’s backable at 5.50.

Top Batsman Odds Summary: India: Rohit Sharma 3.25 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Rahul 3.75, Dhawan 4.00, Samson 5.00, Iyer 6.50, Pandey 7.00, Pant 8.00.

Bangladesh: Rahim 4.33, Das 4.50, Sarkar 5.00, Naim 5.50 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Mahmudullah 5.50, Mithun 6.00.

What are the most sixes odds for India v Bangladesh?

With Sharma and the explosive Iyer in their ranks, it’s hard to see past India in this betting market.

So far, they lead the maximum count in the series 13-6, and so we would expect them to be clearing the ropes at will in this match too.

Most Sixes Odds Summary: India 1.40 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Bangladesh 3.75 (Bet365), The Tie 8.00 (Bet365).
