India v West Indies 3rd ODI: Cricket Betting Tips
The hosts needed to provide a big response to that disappointing opening defeat in this three-match India v West Indies series and they duly delivered. Centuries from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul plus a hat-trick from Kuldeep Yadav in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday secured a 107-run win to level things up at 1-1 and we now go into a decider.
Sunday’s third and final game takes place in Cuttack but who will emerge with the honours in India’s final international cricket match of 2019?
What are the cricket odds for India v West Indies?
India maintain their position at the top of the result betting and a Satta on the home side will currently attract odds of 1.28 with Betway. It’s a figure that leaves the West Indies out at 4.00. There will be some interest in the tourists after they took a 1-0 lead in the first match.
At the start of both the T20I and the ODI series, we predicted a 2-1 final scoreline in favour of India. We haven’t quite got our match predictions in the right order but the tip delivered in the shorter format. We expect it to come through again on Sunday.
That opening loss was effectively a ‘wake up’ call for India’s batsmen. It indicated that they would need to respond and pass 350 in order to be competitive. They duly obliged and we expect the batting unit to be too powerful once again when the sides reach Cuttack.
Match Odds Summary
India: 1.28 (Betway – Editor’s Pick), West Indies: 4.00
What are the top batsman odds for India v West Indies?
Despite Virat Kohli being dismissed for a first ball duck, India blasted their way to 387/5 on Wednesday. Rohit Sharma’s 159 also gave us a profit in India’s top batsman market at odds of 3.50 and for Cuttack on Sunday, he remains at that figure with Bet365. Virat Kohli starts as the favourite at 3.40 while KL Rahul shortens following his century on Wednesday to 4.00.
Shreyas Iyer has been providing some impetus down the order and he can be claimed at 6.50. Other picks for India could include Mayank Agarwal at 4.75, Rishabh Pant at 8.50 and Kedar Jadhav at 15.00.
For the West Indies, Shai Hope followed his century in the opening match with a top score of 78. He starts as favourite for the tourists at 4.33. Evin Lewis is a joint second favourite at 5.00. You can also pick up Shimron Hetmyer at that same price of 5.00.
Nicholas Pooran also made runs in Visakhapatnam and he looks a value option at 6.00 while other West Indian batters include Brandon King at 6.00, Sunil Ambris at 6.00 and Kieron Pollard at 9.50.
One price that really stands out from these markets is the 8.50 next to the name of Rishabh Pant. The keeper made runs in the opening game and may be worth a small Satta but we’re going to have to take Virat Kohli here.
We want to avoid picking the favourites at times but the skipper carries the shorter price for a reason. We suspect he’ll be stung by that first ball duck on Wednesday and we expect Kohli to respond in the best possible way.
Top Batsman Odds Summary
India: Kohli 3.40 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Sharma 3.50, Rahul 4.00, Agarwal 4.75, Iyer 6.50, Pant 8.50, Jadhav 15.00
West Indies: Hope 4.33, Hetmyer 5.00, Lewis 5.00, Pooran 6.00, King 6.00, Ambris 6.00, Pollard 9.00
What are the top bowler odds for India v West Indies?
We completed a hat trick of Sattas last time out as India hit 14 sixes to the West Indies’ 13. We could take the home side again in the Most Sixes market at 2.20 with Bet365 but, having picked two favourites, we want a longer price.
There was a theory that Jasprit Bumrah might return but we expect Mohammed Shami to keep his place. After all, he returned best figures in Visakhapatnam. Shami is a favourite of ours in his side’s top bowler markets. We’ll finish by backing the seamer to be India’s top bowler in Cuttack at generous odds of 4.50.
India Top Bowler Odds Summary
Bumrah 3.50, Chahal 3.75, Shami 4.50 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Jadeja 4.75, Chahar 4.75
