India vs West Indies Cricket Update

In the first One Day International game in the series between India and the West Indies, the game was cancelled due to bad weather. Only India had gone up to bat, ending with a result of 199/3 in 39.2 overs. Since the West Indies team did not have a chance to bat, no result was possible.

The second ODI in the series that is currently underway in the West Indies took place on Sunday, 25th June 2017. The Indian team won by a huge 105-run margin. The final results of the game that took place at the Queen’s Park Oval in the Port of Spain was 310/5 in 43 overs for India and 205/6 in 43 overs for the West Indies.

The next match is set to take place tomorrow on 30th June at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. It is expected that there may be some brief rain showers, however, it is not expected that the weather will stop the game.

India Beat West Indies in ICC Women’s World Cup Match

While the India men’s cricket team is playing the ODI series in the West Indies, the India women’s team has had an excellent start to the ICC Women’s World Cup cricket. The West Indies team were first up to bad, ending with a result of 183/8 in 50 overs. The India women’s team won the match with 186/3 in 42.3 overs.

The India women’s captain, Mithali Raj, commented on the win: “Very pleased with the way the girls responded with crucial run-outs even though there were a couple of lapses in the field with dropped catches. It was a very good knock from Mandhana.”

Mithali further noted: “We need to work on our catching. Fielding is very crucial and it can win us matches.”

India began the series with a win against the England women’s team, and then went on to beat Sri Lanka in their second match. India’s next match will be played against Pakistan.
