India vs West Indies ODI Update

The first match of the India vs West Indies One Day International series was cancelled after repeated rain removed the players from the field.

In the next game that took place saw the Indian team win by 105 runs.  This was followed by yet another win by 93 runs for India. On Sunday 2nd July, the West Indies cricket team won their first match of the ODI series. The West Indies beat India by 11runs.

The next match that will take place is set for Thursday, 6th July. The fifth and final ODI of the series will be played in Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica. If India wins the final ODI, they will have won the series. The West Indies team will be hoping for a win in order to equalize the result.

West Indies vs India T20I

A few days after the India – West Indies ODI series is over, there will be a T20I game played between the two sides. The game will be held in the same venue as the final ODI in Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica on 9th July. The T20I match will be India’s final fixture in the Caribbean at this time.

In an unexpected move, the West Indies have recalled Chris Gayle to play a one-off in the T20 International. It has been over a year since Gayle played for the West Indies. The last time Gayle played for the team was in the ICC World T20 that took place in 2016.

Gayle is a top T20 batsman, and the leading West Indies run-scorer in the T20 format.

In addition to Gayle, the West Indies team are also hoping to have Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard on their team. Narine most recently played in a match against Afghanistan last month while Pollard last played for West Indies a few months ago in a T20I series against Pakistan. Other notable batsmen in the team include Carlos Brathwaite, the skipper, Marlon Samuels, and Evin Lewis.
