After easily beating Ireland in the first T20 International, India made its second win appear even easier. India has won the T20I series with 2 – 0, thrashing Ireland in the second match.
India beat Ireland by a huge 143 runs. The winning team ended on a total of 213/4 in 20 overs. Ireland made only 70 runs All Out in 12.3 overs.
Before this match, India’s biggest winning margin had been against Sri Lanka when the team won by 93 runs. The match against Sri Lanka took place in Cuttack in 2017. Not only did India improve on this, with their highest run margin in T20I cricket, Ireland made the lowest run total against India in the history of T20I cricket.
India shares the second spot for T20I run margins with Pakistan. Pakistan had beaten the West Indies by 143 runs at a match earlier this year in Karachi. The record holder for ending with a huge 172-run margin is still held by Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka won a T20I with this massive run margin in 2007 in a match against Kenya.
India ruthlessly played what was more like a warmup game ahead of playing against England.
