Sunrisers Hyderabad Win Qualifier 2 by 14 Runs

The Sunrises Hyderabad team has beaten the Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 2 of the Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 14 runs with 174/7 in 20 overs. Kolkata Knight Riders ended the game with 160/9 in 20 overs.

2018 IPL Final

The win takes Sunrisers Hyderabad through to the 2018 IPL’s Final on Sunday. The team will be playing against the Chennai Super Kings, who beat them by two wickets in Qualifier 1. Both teams that have reached the Final of the IPL were at the top of the Points Table before the Qualifiers and Eliminator matches took place.

Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad begin play at 7pm (IST) or 1.30pm (GMT) on Sunday, 27th May 2018. The teams will meet each other at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The Chennai Super Kings were out of the IPL tournament for two years after spot fixing allegations. This is the first year that the team is back in the IPL. They made their way back to the top, right where they were before the serious cricket breaches took place.

Top players in the team include MS Dhoni, and Suresh Raina. The team has made it to six IPL Finals in the past. Both of these players have played in all six Finals with the Chennai Super Kings. Dwayne Bravo has already played in four Finals with the team, and Ravindra Jadeja has played in three.

While the team is good at getting to the Final of the IPL, so far they have only won twice in 2010 and 2011.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Previously, Sunrisers Hyderabad has one a single IPL title. The team is hoping to win its second Final this year.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have met with the Chennai Super Kings three time in the 2018 IPL, and lost all three matches. Two of the losses ended with close results, showing that the teams are fairly evenly matched. It remains to be seen whether the team can push through to a win.
