Kohli Reaches Run Scorer Milestone in South African Tour
The new record was reached at The Wanderers on the third day of the final Test of the Indian cricket team’s tour of South Africa. Virat Kohli reached a whopping 3,456 runs since he has captained the Indian cricket team. The total took him to the top.
2,062 of the 3,456 runs were made when playing Tests in India. 1,394 runs when the team was on tour.
At the age of 29, Kohli is likely to captain the team for some time yet. He will continue to raise his run record as skipper. This will make it harder for future team captains to catch up to his record.
Kohli Aims for a Win in the Third Test
While the cricket team always aims for a win, Kohli would like his team to win the third Test to prevent a whitewash. The South African team won the first two Tests in the three Test series, and have already won.
Although India cannot win this Test series, they can prevent a total loss by winning at least one of the matches.
One Day Internationals Coming Soon
Once the final Test is complete, the teams will have a few days to rest. There are six One Day International matches starting on 1st February 2018.
