While Yuvraj Singh led the team to a large run total, Rahul Sharma played an important part when it came to bowling. The India A cricket team has beaten the West Indies A team in a one-off Twenty20 cricket match.
India chose to bat first, and made an incredible 214 for seven. Singh had 52 for 35 balls, which included three sixes. Other notable batting achievements in the game were Unmukt Chand, who hit 47 off 29 balls, and Kedar Jadhav who hit 42 off 21 balls.
Although Yuvraj had already made his 52 runs, he was eventually dismissed by Andre Russell from the West Indies team. Not only did Russell manage to get Yuvraj Singh of the crease, he also dismissed other batsmen in the first four balls of the 19th over. However, with the impressive batting total, his efforts did not ultimately make a difference to the game. He dismissed both Naman Ojha, and Yusuf Pathan, neither of whom managed to make any runs.
When it came time for the West Indies A cricket team to bat in the Twenty20, they were bowled out for 121 in 16.3 overs. Rahul Sharma bowled well, with five for 23. Not only did the team do well with accumulating a large number of runs that would have been difficult for the West Indies team to match, they also bowled out the West Indies players with ease.
When Yuvraj and Jadhav partnered at the bat, the two players made a joint 80 run partnership. They were not the only partnership that ended with a good total. Uthappa and Chand made 74 runs in their partnership over 6.4 overs.
The Indian team has now redeemed itself after it suffered a 1-2 defeat during the unofficial ODI series.
