Bangalore Turf Club Results: India Horse Race Results

Horse Racing in India had been banned for almost 6 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bangalore Turf Club became the first horse-racing club in the country to resume operations. They kicked off the winter season just days ago on November 1^st with the Rajyotsava Trophy. You can check our Bangalore Turf Club Results for the 1st race in this as well.

For the uninitiated, November 1^st is a big deal for the people of Karnataka. It marks the day in 1956 when all the Kannada speaking regions of Southern India came together and formed the state of Karnataka.

Needless to say, it is a day of celebration. The Bangalore Turf Club hosts the aptly titled ‘Rajyotsava Trophy’ on this day. However, the latest rendition of the Rajyotsava Trophy that transpired last Sunday was unlike any of the ones before.

Bangalore Turf Club: COVID-19 Guidelines

Usually, the Bangalore Turf Club hosts just under 10,000 spectators for an event like this. But thanks to the Covid-19 restrictions, the eight races took place without any spectators whatsoever.

The only personnel that was allowed into the club were essential staff, club officials, and just one owner per horse. Also, the presentation ceremony that is trademark after the end of each race was amiss on this occasion.

Furthermore, horse race betting on the first two races of the winter season has been called off. An online betting portal is said to be a work in progress and should be available from November 14th. You should be able to bet online for the races scheduled on November 14^th, 21^st and 28^th.

Race 5– The Vidhana Soudha Cup Plate (Horses rated 60 and above)

Race 6 – The RajyotsavaTrophy (Grade III) (3 years old and over)

Race 7– The Belgaum Plate (Horses rated 30 to 50)

Race 8– The Altenburg Plate (Horses rated 15 to 35, 4 years old and over)

Indian Horse race betting was not available for the 1st race. It won’t be available for the 2nd race either which is supposed to be scheduled on 7th November. Bettors will be able to place their satta matka from third race onwards most probably.

4th Race: The Children’s Day Plate is a 1400-meter race for horses 3 – years old only

5th Race: The Master Key Plate is a 1600-meter race for horses rated between 15-35

6th Race: The Chintamani Plate is a 1200-meter race for horses rated 15-35 and 4 years or older
