The three match ODI series between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is currently underway in Dhaka. Even though Bangladesh entered the series with 10 international losses, our cricket experts asked you to ignore that track record and bet on Bangladesh to win the first ODI.

The second ODI is scheduled to take place on 25 May. Will Sri Lanka be able to bounce back and level the series and keep things exciting or will Bangladesh wrap up the series on Tuesday?
We will once again give you a breakdown of the second ODI, discuss the betting odds and share our predictions. If you are looking to bet on this series, go ahead and register at any of the following sportsbooks below.
Bangladesh – Betting Favorites
Bangladesh goes into the second ODI once again as the favorites with Bet365 giving them odds of 1.66. While Bangladesh did win the first ODI relatively easy, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan was not impressed with how Bangladesh played and he criticized their performance in the media.
Hassan criticized Bangladesh’s batting performance mid-innings and said the shots played by some of the batsmen were atrocious. Even though the surface was difficult to bat, Bangladesh managed to get to 257/6. However, Hassan felt that wasn’t a good enough performance as the batsmen who got out did not get out due to good bowling by the Sri Lankans rather to poor shots.
The BCB President also called on Bangladesh head coach Russell Domingo to get to the bottom of the issue as to why Bangladesh batsmen continued to play poor shots. Bangladesh will need to take that criticism positively and look to put in a more dominant performance on Tuesday.
Captain Tamim Iqbal and former captain Mushifiqur Rahman starred with the bat while Mehidi Miraz and Mustafizur Raham shared 7 wickets between them. Bangladesh will need these players to once again put in a good performance in the second ODI.
Sri Lanka – Can Turn Things Around
Sri Lanka did well in the bowling department but could have done better if captain K Perera utilized his bowlers a bit better. He ended up bowling out Isuru Udana who went at over 6 per over and L Sandakan who went at 5.5 per over and kept back some of his other bowlers who looked more impressive. D Gunathilaka only bowled 2 overs, took 1 wicket and conceded 5 runs while pacer D Chameera had 2 overs left in his quota and only conceded 4.8 runs per over.
The bigger concern for Sri Lanka is their batting department as they looked clueless against Mehidy Hasan who opened the bowling for Bangladesh and picked up 4 wickets. The captain who bats at the top of the order, needs to play a captain’s knock in the second ODI if the series is to be kept alive.
Sri Lanka also need more runs from some of the younger players who need to put their hands up and be counted on this tour. P Nissanka who bats at three and Ashen Bandara who came in at six are occupying important positions in the batting line-up and need to make bigger contributions in the second ODI.
Verdict
We believe that the second ODI will be a lot more competitive than the first game but Bangladesh should manage to sneak home and wrap up the series. If you are looking to bet on other international sports, go ahead and register at the sportsbook below.
