Rozenstruik vs. Sakai
The heavyweight division is currently stalled as champ Francis Ngannou seems keen on weighting for Jon Jones to fight him but UFC President Dana White is looking to book Derrick Lewis in for a title shot as Jones and White have not been on good terms. Waiting in the wings is former champ Stipe Miocic who is keen to get back his strap while Curtis Blaydes is keen to bounce back and put himself in range for a title shot.
Rozenstruik went on a good run in the UFC till he suffered his first loss at the hands of Francis Ngannou. He tried to bounce back in his next fight but was outpointed and lost by decision to Ngannou’s former training partner Ciryl Gane. Rozenstruik knows he needs to win this fight against Augusto Sakai who is coming off his first loss in the UFC to veteran Alistair Overeem.
This is going to be a close fight and the bookmakers have given Rozenstruik the edge with odds of 1.80 while Sakai has odds of 2.0. There is literally nothing in it as both are nearly the same age and same height and have great striking skills. However, our MMA experts think Sakai has a better chin and his about 10 kilos heavier which could work in his favour if he takes Rozenstruik down. We would put our money on Sakai for this fight.
Harris vs. Tybura
The UFC Octagon is going to be taking a lot of weight this week as the co-main event will also see two heavyweights battle it out. Walt Harris has not had a good run in the UFC after coming back from the tragic kidnapping and death of his daughter. Harris has lost to Overeem and Volkov and will be very keen to put an end to his losing streak with a win over Tybura.
Tybura has a three fight win streak behind him and knows a win over Harris will make him a big name in the division. The bookmakers have him as the betting favorite with odds of 1.58 while Harris is the underdog with odds of 2.40. If it comes to a striking match, Harris has the advantage as he has brutal KO power. However, Tybura likes to use his wrestling to get his opponents down and get the better of them. If Harris can keep the fight on the feet, he should win. This is a hard one to call but we are going to bet on Harris to bounce back.
Trinaldo vs. Salikhov
This fight is on the prelims but don’t let it slip under your radar as this is going to be a banger in the welterweight division. The 42 year old Trinaldo is a veteran who has shown that he likes to stand and trade. Muslim Salikhov is a huge betting favorite in this one with odds of 1.36 while Trinaldo has odds of 3.25. We would put our money on Salikhov for this one.
