The most exciting part of the 2021 Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to take place this week as we have the playoffs and then the PSL Championship final. The playoffs will take place on June 21 and June 22 with the PSL Championship final set to take place on June 24.
We take a look at the first two playoffs taking place on June 21 when the Multan Sultans take on Islamabad United followed by the Karachi Kings taking on Peshawar Zalmi. We give you the betting odds from Bet365, look at the strength and weaknesses of each team and share our predictions.

Islamabad United vs. Multan Sultans – Odds and Predictions
Islamabad United (IU) are the only team in the PSL to have won two championships with wins in 2016 and 2018. They finished the PSL season at the top of the points table, having lost only 2 games. They look like they are on their way to pick up their third PSL Championship as they have been the most dominant team in the PSL this season.
It’s no surprise that they go in as the betting favorite against the Multan Sultans (MS). Bet365 now has odds of 1.72 for IU to win and advance to the finals while MS has odds of 2.10. The last time these two sides clashed was on June 19 when IU won by 4 wickets with 2 balls to spare.
Will the Sultans be able to bounce back and win on June 21 or will the game once again go IU’s way. The Sultan’s middle-order let them down in their last game against IU as they lost a flurry of wickets as M Wasim ran through them.
If they are going to change the result, they need their middle-order to deliver, especially their overseas players. IU will go into this game confident of winning but know that they also need to step up their game as they need one of their batsmen to play a big knock instead of throwing their wickets away while getting set.

Peshawar Zalmi vs. Karachi Kings – Odds and Predictions
Peshawar Zalmi (PES) finished in third place on the PSL points table while Karachi Kings (KAR) finished in third place. PES and KAR along with ME finished with 10 points each and their rankings were determined based on their net run rate.
There is not a lot of difference between the two sides which is one of the reasons why bookmakers have given both sides odds of 1.90 going into this game. Karachi Kings have some great players who can score quickly and take the game away. If Martin Guptill, Babar Azam and Sharjeek Khan get going, they can take the game away from PES.
PES needs to be able to restrict KAR by picking up wickets regularly and restricting the flow of runs. W Riaz will have a big role to play with the ball while the batsmen that need to fire for PES include veterans Shoaib Malik and Kamran Akmal.
