The UFC has another great Fight Night card scheduled at the UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas for June 26. The Main and co-Main event are going to shake the Octagon as both events feature exciting heavyweight fights.
The number 5 ranked Cyril Gane will take on the number 6 ranked Alexander Volkov in the Main Event while Tanner Boser will face Ovince Saint Preux who is moving up from lightheavyweight to heavyweight. Apart from these two heavyweight fights, there are a number of interesting matches on this card.

Cyril Gane vs. Alexander Volkov
There was a lot of hype behind the Frenchman Gane when the UFC gave him the opportunity to Main Event in his last fight against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Gane won the fight by decision but he did not win any fans as it was a lacklustre performance from someone who is a very talented fighter. Gane played it safe and won to maintain an unbeaten 8-0 record in MMA.
Gane knew that the UFC brass was not happy with his performance and promised to be more aggressive in his next fight. He gets that opportunity on June 26 when he faces the dangerous Russian Alexander Volkov who is coming off an impressive win against veteran Alistair Overeem.
Volkov is a veteran with over 40 fights under his belt but still goes in as the underdog. Bet365 has given Volkov odds of 2.40 while Gane is the favorite with odds of 1.58. This fight can end up being a very short fight as both fighters have heavy hands but it can also go the distance as both fighters have great cardio and know how to take a punch.
Volkov has said in the media that he hopes Gane will stand and strike with him. Gane used to train with now UFC champ Francis Ngannou and is known for his striking. However, Gane is also no slouch on the ground and this is one area with Volkov needs to improve.
We are going to put our money on Volkov as we don’t think Gane is ready to fight someone as elite as Volkov.
Tanner Boser vs. Ovince Saint Preux
Canadian Tanner Boser was in the Octagon on June 05 when he fought Ilir Latifi and lost by decision. He is making a real quick turnaround to step in and face Ovince Saint Preux (OSP). Boser is a real heavyweight while OSP is stepping up a weight class and is going to be at a disadvantage weight wise.
OSP’s last fight was at lightweight on 05 Dec, 2020 when he fought Jamahal Hill and lost by stoppage. The last time OSP fought at heavyweight was in May 2020 when he took on Ben Rothwell and lost by decision.
OSP goes in as the underdog with odds of 2.40 while Boser has odds of 1.58. We are going to back Boser to win this fight.
Andre Fili vs. Daniel Pineda
If you like watching fights where the fighters stand and bang, you don’t want to miss this this featherweight bout. Fili goes in as a big favorite with odds of 1.44 while Pineda has odds of 2.87.
Fili is coming off a decision loss to Bryce Mitchell while Pineda is also coming off a loss by stoppage to Cub Swanson. This is an important fight for both fighters, especially Pineda who is having a second run with the UFC after being cut the first time. We think that Fili will win by decision as he has the better fight IQ to outpoint Pineda.
