The IPL is coming towards the end of the group stage and there is a lot of competition for the third and fourth spots in the playoffs. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Capitals (DC) have already qualified for the playoffs and will now battle it out to see who finishes in first place and gets a direct entry into the 2021 IPL Championship

DC vs. CSK – Oct 04
These two sides could very well end up playing the 2021 IPL Championship finals, so it will be interesting to keep an eye on this game. Both teams have already made it to the playoffs and will not be under any pressure to perform. CSK and DC could end up experimenting with some of their fringe players just to test out their bench strength as we head into the playoffs.
CSK and DC have 18 points each from 12 games but CSK is in the first place due to a superior net run rate. They go into this match as slight betting favorites with IPL odds of 1.80 while DC has odds of 2.0. CSK have been pretty dominant in their 2021 IPL campaign but are coming off a loss in their last game to the Rajasthan Royals.
CSK’s bowling let them down as well as some strange captaincy from MS Dhoni. Will DC be able to beat CSK and go to the top of the points table? We don’t think so as CSK are bound to come back hard after their loss to the Royals. We got our money on CSK for this game.
RR vs. MI – Sep 27
The Rajasthan Royals and the Mumbai Indians currently have 10 points each from 12 games but the Royals are just ahead of Mumbai based on a superior run rate. This game is going to be crucial for both teams as a win will keep them in the running for the playoffs while a loss could quite possibly end their 2021 IPL campaign.
The Royals will come into this game with a lot of confidence as they just beat CSK in their last game. However, they are still the betting underdogs with odds of 2.20 while Mumbai are the favorites with odds of 1.66. The Royals did well against CSK because their bowlers did a reasonable job but it was their batsmen that won them the game.
They will once again need a good opening partnership from E Lewis and Y Jaiswal who looked good against CSK. However, it was the performance of S Dube that won them the game. Will the Royals be able to string together another good performance against CSK?
Mumbai Indians haven’t had things go to plan in this IPL tournament. They lost their game to the Delhi Capitals after another terrible batting performance. They no longer look like a champion side and they need to lift as a team or suffer the potential embarrassment of being eliminated before the playoffs.
We are going to go against the bookmakers with this one and back the Royals to win this game because Mumbai Indians look to be deflated mentally.
