Whether you love Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather or hate him, there is no denying the fact that he is still one of the biggest names in the boxing world, even though he retired in 2017. Floyd Mayweather finished with an undefeated 50-0 record and is a boxing five division superstar and a 12 time champ.
Mayweather has agreed to fight 26 year old social media influencer and YouTuber Logan Paul in an exhibition fight. The fight will take place in Miami Gardens on June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium. The fight will be telecast by Showtime and organizers claim that is expected to generate as much as $100 million in combined revenues.

Exhibition Bout Rules
The first thing we need to point out is that this is not an official and sanctioned boxing fight. The Florida State Boxing Commission will not sanction this fight because of the considerable size difference between the two fighters. The last time Logan Paul stepped into a boxing ring he was over 190 lbs while Mayweather last fought at 154 lbs.
The contract states that Logan Paul needs to weigh in at 190 lbs for this fight and Mayweather will need to be 30 pounds under. If Paul misses weight, he will forfeit $100,000 for every 1 lbs that he misses. The fight will take place with 12 oz boxing gloves and go on for 8 x 3 minute rounds. There will be no headgear used in this fight.
This exhibition fight will not have any judges and hence no official decision will be read out after the fight. While there is no provision for an official decision to be made, there is provision for a KO or TKO to happen. The Commission will sanction a referee who will use his discretion to determine whether the fight needs to be called off.
The last time Floyd Mayweather fought in an exhibition match was when he fought the young kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa and stopped him in just one round. However, this time around there is a considerable size disadvantage and it favours Logan Paul.
Betting Odds – Mayweather vs. Paul
Logan Paul has claimed that he will use the size advantage and KO Mayweather. Paul is the younger fighter and his ex-trainer and ex-heavyweight champ Shannon Briggs said that Paul has serious KO power.
However none of this is swaying the sportsbooks as they still believe the 44 year old Mayweather will win in style. Bookmakers have Mayweather as the heavy betting favorite with odds of 1.11 while Paul is the betting underdog with odds of 6.0. Expect these odds to change as we get near to June 6 as a lot of bets are being placed on Logan Paul.
Floyd Mayweather is expected to 5 times the amount of money that Logan Paul is making. He said that he could not pass up the opportunity to commit legalized robbery and school Paul in the art of boxing and walk out with a big check. If Mayweather does school Paul, we would expect him to do more exhibition fights in the near future.
Reports surfaced in May 2021 that Floyd Mayweather’s camp had offered former UFC lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov up to $100 million to step into a boxing ring and face Mayweather. However, Nurmagomedov who is now retired turned down the offer saying he does not fight for money but only for legacy.
