Hyderabad Race BETTING TIPS: Contenders Preview

Check out the profile of the horses who will be contending for the Hyderabad race tomorrow:

1. Ambitious Star – David Livingston (IRE)/Phoenix

The 3-year-old colt from the stables of trainer K Satheesh has run three races so far. His runs have yielded a 2nd place finish in the 1100m race at Hyderabad in late January. The dark bay colt’s recent record looks like this – 7-8-2.

2.  Bruno – Green Coast (IRE)/Go For Gold

The son of the prolific stallion Green Coast is one of the more experienced runners in the field. His  6 races so far have yielded a couple of places (2nd and 3rd). The bay gelding’s recent record is not too bad at 8-5-2-3-7.

3. Proud –Planetaire (GB)/Perfect Polly

The bay rig will be running the fourth race of his career on Wednesday. He looks to be quite a strong contender, having finished runner up in all his races to date – a recent record of 2-3-2. His jockey for this race is the vastly experienced Suraj Narredu.

4. Siyavash – Top Class (USA)/MalakeyeZiba

With Top Class as his sire, this dark brown rig certainly has an excellent pedigree. He also impressed on his debut, with a strong second-place. This will be his third race – the recent record is 2-5, both races at a distance of 1200m.

5. Aarya – Gusto (GB)/Fast Escape (IRE)

This is the debut race of the daughter of Gusto. She was supposed to debut on February 22 – but was withdrawn due to vet reasons.  The bay filly is trained by LD Silva and will be ridden by Afroz Khan.

6. Allah Rakhi – Royal Gladiator/Corona Di Oro

The chestnut filly has completed 5 races without any notable performances so far. With all her previous races ending with her in the bottom three, not much is expected from her in this race. Recent record is quite abysmal – 11-9-8-10-10.

7. Angel Wings – Saamidd (GB)/Mini Cooper

Her sire Saamidd is quite prolific as a stud, with 88 horses posting 120 wins and another 300 top four places. Angel Wings is yet to add to that record – her two races so far have finished outside the places – the recent record is 9-7.

8. Garnet –

Precious little is available on record about this three-year-old. There is no information about her pedigree, trainer or owner. This will be her first race.

9. Hard To Toss – Green Coast (IRE)/Methodical

Bruno’s half-sister through sire Green Coast is a bay filly trained by D Netto. Experienced jockey P Trevor will be in her saddle for the Wednesday race. She has one top-four finish out of her two races so far – the recent record is 8-4.

10. Miss Little Angel –

Just as in the case of Garnet, not much is known about this filly. Akshay Kumar is signed to ride her on Wednesday.

11. Nefertiti – One Lucky Dane (USA)/Stonestreet Lady (USA)

The bay filly will run her second race on Wednesday. On her debut in December 2020, she finished 8th. She was slated to run in mid-February but was withdrawn.

12. Racing Rani – One Lucky Dane (USA)/Rosemonde

This bay filly is the stablemate of Nefertiti – both are trained by Ananta Vatsalya and share the same sire as well. Rani has a marginally better record than her half-sister – she finished 5th on her debut (1200m) in February.

13. Wild Card – Green Coast (IRE)/Destiny

The third horse on the card sired by Green Coast also has the least inspiring record – two races finished at the wrong end of the table. With a recent form of 10-12, this dark brown filly will not find too many takers for this race.

Hyderabad Race Betting: Top Picks for the Outright Winner

Maiden races are often harder to predict – thanks to the many inexperienced and underperforming runners one finds on the cards. That said, there are at least four horses with a decent chance to win the 2021 edition of the Brave Hunter Plate on Wednesday.

The strongest of these has to be #3 Proud – he is yet to finish outside the top three in a race. His bloodline may not be as impressive as some others on this list, but on current form, he is our top pick.

For punters looking at a proven pedigree, #2 Bruno is a great alternative – the son of Green Coast ended up in the places twice in his last three outings. Despite a minor dip in his last race, he remains an excellent pick for an outright winner here.

#4 Siyavash is the next best in line – his sire Top Class has 241 wins from his 10+ years as a stud. The dark brown rig could add to that number if he improves on his recent record of 2-5. From the fillies, the honorable mention goes to #9 Hard To Toss – sired by Green Coast and with an 8-4 record.
