The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup began on October 17 in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The Super 12 groups were revealed ahead of time, with arch-rivals India and Pakistan placed together in Group 2. While the names of eight teams are known, eight more teams are currently competing for the remaining four qualification berths. Bangladesh and Scotland have qualified from Group B while Sri Lanka look like they will easily qualify in Group A and the other position will be up for grabs among Ireland and Namibia.
The four qualifiers will compete in the Super 12 stage against Australia, India, Pakistan, South Africa, England, New Zealand, West Indies, and Afghanistan.
The Super 12 is divided into two groups. Group 1 will consist of the West Indies, England, Australia, and South Africa, while Group 2 will include India and Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.
