The third test match of the four test match series between India and England will take place from Feb 24 to Feb 28 in Ahmedabad. This will be a D/N test match at the biggest cricket ground in India which can seat up to one hundred and ten thousand fans.
What Can We Expect In Ahmedabad?
We don’t expect the stadium to be packed to capacity given the COVID-19 situation but we do expect some fans to be let in just like the second test match in Chennai. There was a lot of talk about the spinner friendly wicket that was prepared for the second test and one can expect something similar in Ahmedabad which should favour the Indian spinners.
Rohit Sharma went hard at some of the England cricket journalists who criticized the Chennai pitch and said if India had the option to prepare spin friendly wickets as that is one of the aspects of having the home advantage. Sharma had another jibe at the journalists asking them to level their criticism at player’s and performances but not at the pitch.

What India Must Do To Win
India must make the right decision with regarding to their bowling combination given this is a pink ball test. Will they once again go in with three spinners or will they take a chance and drop K Yadav and bring in all-rounder H Pandya? This is an important decision for the team selectors and they will need to take a close look at the pitch before deciding.
India will also need one of their batsmen to make a big hundred like R Sharma did in Chennai. They will need be extra careful in the third session under lights facing the likes of James Anderson who is arguably the best swing bowler in the world.
What England Must Do To Win
England are continuing to experiment with their rotation policy in the midst of an important test series and hopefully that does not come them another test match. They have to play James Anderson and maybe even Stuart Broad. England also needs another major knock from their captain in the batting department or from Ben Stokes, preferably in the first innings.
Side Bets You Can Bet On
Apart from the outright result for the third test match, there are a number of side bets that punters can wager on during the third test. These bets are more exciting as they are harder to predict but if you get it right, you can have a decent payout.
First Over Total Runs: This is a very simple and straightforward bet which is based totally on luck, just like the ‘winning the toss’ bet. You need to bet on whether the first over in the match will surpass 1.5 runs or be below 1.5 runs. The odds for over 1.5 runs and below 1.5 runs stay the same at 10/11. There is no betting prediction here, just take a guess and see if you get it right.
First Wicket Dismissal: You have to pick how the first wicket will fall. The odds for a catch are 1/2, stumped 22/1, lbw 4/1, bowled 4/1, run out 25/1 and others 200/1.
