Royals Challengers Bangalore won their first four IPL games and was at the top of IPL points table till they suffered their first loss on April 25 when they were steamrolled by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RCB will shrug off that loss and look to bounce back on style in their next game.

RCB lost their game against CSK primarily because their strong batting unit did not click and were restricted to just 122. RCB would not be worrying too much about their batting as their batters have fired in all the other four games that they have won. They will want their openers to get them off to a good start against Delhi Capitals and build a platform for their powerful middle-order to come and take the game by the scruff of its neck.
While RCB can overlook one bad day with the bat, what they cannot overlook was Virat Kohli’s captaincy against CSK. RCB have done well so far in IPL 2021 because the team has played well and Kohli has captained well. Virat Kohli had a poor game both as a batsman and as a captain against CSK. If RCB is going to win against DC in Ahmedabad, Kohli the captain needs to deliver.
DC – Keys To Victory
DC had a nail biter against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game and ended up winning in a super over. The super over win will do wonders for R Pant’s captaincy and also for the team as a whole. DC knows that they will have another tough challenge ahead of them when they take on RCB.
DC’s strength in their batting department comes from their two openers P Shaw and S Dhawan who have been in pristine form. One or both of them need to play a good knock against RCB and let the middle-order score freely.
Their bowling has also been good throughout the tournament but they will now face a new challenge as their veteran off-spinner R Ashwin has decided to opt out of IPL 2021. R Ashwin has asked for time-off to be with his family in Chennai and support them as the city is battling a significant rise in COVID-19 cases. DC will need to see how they are going to fill this gap.
