UFC 268: Usman vs Covington 2 odds
The first Usman vs. Covington fight took place in December 2019 and the champ won in Round 5 at 4:10 seconds by TKO. This was a barn burner as both fighters showed enormous skills, chins, and cardio as they put on an epic show for the fans.
Covington fought most of this fight with a broken jaw and showed the fans that he can not only talk trash but back it up with a fantastic performance in the ring. He was livid with referee Marc Goddard for stopping the fight when there was less than a minute left to the bell. Covington has been the toughest fight for Usman in his career to date and the rematch has MMA fans salivating.
We know what the champ brings to the table as he has defended his belt multiple times and has finished all his challengers. Covington has made adjustments to his game and believes he has what it takes this time to end Usman’s title reign.
In terms of power, Usman is better, in terms of strength, Usman is better and they are both excellent wrestlers. The difference between the two could come down to heart and cardio and we think Covington is ahead in both these departments.
For our UFC 268 betting prediction, we are going with Covington.
Recommended Tip: Covington win.
UFC 268: Namajunas vs Weili 2 odds
The first time Namajunas and Weili fought was when Weili was the champ and Namajunas was the challenger. This fight took place in April 2021 at UFC 261 and it was a very short fight as Zhang got caught in the second minute of the first round and lost her belt. She initially blamed drama outside the Octagon for her being distracted in the fight and called for a rematch.
The UFC has given the Chinese MMA fighter a rematch and she enters as a slight underdog. Namajunas has a better reach and we believe better striking when compared to Weili. However, Weili has worked very hard on her game during the last six months as her Instagram posts show.
She looks in tremendous shape, is extremely focused, and is convinced that she will get her feet back. In terms of strength, work in the clinch, and cardio, we think Weili has an edge. We think Namajunas has the edge in terms of striking and submissions. Will Weili stand and strike with Namajunas or will she look to add in takedowns and see if she can score points on the judges’ scorecards?
Our experts predict that Weili will reclaim her belt by decision.
Recommended Tip: Weili win by decision.
