The UFC returns to the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada to host a series of exciting cards in February. The first card to start the month will feature the highly decorated veteran Alistair Overeem take on the dangerous Alexander Volkov in the Main Event on Feb 6.

The UFC has put together a number of exciting fights on this card apart from the Main Event. We take a look at five fights that India MMA bettors should consider betting on and give you out betting pick. While you can bet on the outright result of each fight, do remember that there are a number of side  available at  India friendly betting sites which are listed below.UFC Fights

Overeem vs. Volkov

When it comes to highly decorated and respected MMA fighters, Alistair Overeem is high up on the list. With over 20 years in combat sports and over 65 fights on his resume, Overreem is a future hall of famer. Reem is a former K-1 World Grand Prix Champion, former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and former DREAM Heavyweight Champion.

The only championship that has evaded him so far has been the UFC heavyweight championship. Reem fought the champ Stipe Miocic and came up short. The Dutchman has made it clear that he is making one more run for the title before retiring.

Reem fought twice in 2020 and is keen to get 2021 off to a start. He goes in as the underdog with odds of 6/4 against the Russian Volkov who has odds of 4/7. Volkov is coming off a loss against Curtis Blaydes who is also Reem’s training partner. Volkov is confident that the fight will not last 5 rounds and he will get a finish.

While Volkov is the favorite, we would put our money on Overreem as he has shown great heart and determination to get another crack at UFC gold.

Sandhagen vs. Edgar

The co-main event will see the veteran Frankie Edgar take on the young and impressive Cory Sandhagen who is the heavy betting favorite with odds of 7/2 against Edgar who is at 2/9. Cory Sandhagen is just 28 years old and has great striking. However, his ground game was exposed in his last fight when Aljamain Sterling submitted him.

If it remains a striking contest, Sandhagen should have the upper hand as he has a number of tricks in his arsenal. However, Frankie Edgar is known for his wrestling and will look to take Sandhagen to the floor and try to either submit him or win by decision. One big factor that could decide the outcome of this fight is whether Sandhagen is going to let his last fight impact him or will he be more determined than ever to set things right.

We would be on the experience of Frankie Edgar to secure a win.

Other Fights To Bet On

There are a number of exciting fights both on the prelims and the Main Card. We will focus on more prelim fight and two on the Main Card and give you our betting picks.

The fight that will headline the prelims should be a banger as Michael Johnson takes on Clay Guida. Expect this fight to be a slugfest as both fighters like to throw down. Johnson is the underdog at 5/11 and Guida is at 9/5. We would bet on Guido as he has the better chin.

Carlos Ferreira has won 17 of his 19 fights. He is the slight favorite at 4/5 against Beneil Dariush who is at 1/1. We would bet on Ferreira. The final fight is in the women’s bantamweight division when Marion Reneau (7/4) takes on Macy Chiasson (10/21). Chiasson is definitely the favorite but the heart and grit of Reneau cannot be dismissed. If you like taking a risk, bet on Reneau.
