The UFC is coming off a very successful UFC 263 pay per view card in front of a packed arena in Glendale, Arizona. The UFC returns to the Apex Center in Las Vegas on June 19 to host another fight night card.
This fight night card is not getting as much publicity as other fight night cards as there are not a lot of big names on this card. However, hardcore MMA fans will tune in as they realize there are some tough fights on this card, including the Main Event between Korean Zombie and Dan Ige.
If you are keen to bet on MMA fights, go ahead and create an account at any one of the below sportsbooks. It only takes a couple of minutes to register an account, make a real money deposit and start betting on UFC fights.
Main Event: Korean Zombie vs. Dan Ige
The Main Event is being promoted as Chang Sung Jung vs. Dan Ige and this is one of the reasons why this card is not getting the attention it deserves. Not many in the MMA community will recognize the name of Chang Sung Jung but any hardcore fan will recognize the name ‘Korean Zombie’. Chang Sung Jung and Korean Zombie are one and the same, it’s just that the English MMA audience recognizes the Korean Zombie better.
The Zombie will be fighting the tough and durable Dan Ige in a featherweight bout. He is coming off a loss in 2020 to Brian Ortega who is about to fight for the UFC featherweight belt. Dan Ige had a short night out in March 2021 when he defeated Gavin Tucker who stepped on short notice as a replacement fighter.
Ige’s previous match was against Calvin Kattar who is a great striker like the Korean Zombie. Ige lost to Kattar and since then has made improvements to his game and is confident that he will be able to get past the Korean Zombie. Bet365 thinks that this is an evenly contested fight and has given both fighters odds of 1.90.
We think that the Korean Zombie will be able to edge Ige out if it goes the distance.
Aleksei Oleinik vs. Sergey Spivak
The co-main event will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Aleksei Oleinik and Sergey Spivak. This is going to be an interesting matchup because of the huge contract between both fighters. Oleinik is 43 and a veteran with 75 pro fights on his resume while Spivak is just 26 and has just 14 fights on his resume.
Oleinik has fought some of the biggest names in the UFC’s heavyweight division and is a master at submissions. He is coming off a TKO loss in the first round from Feb 2021 and its one of the reasons why he is the betting underdog with odds of 2.80. Spivak is coming off a win from Feb 2021 and is the betting favorite with odds of 1.45. We are going to back the veteran to take Spivak down and win by submission.
Tim Means vs. Danny Roberts
If you like to see fighters stand and bang, you must watch this fight. Tim ‘the dirty bird’ Means will take on British fighter Danny Roberts in a welterweight bout on the Main Card. Roberts is coming of a win from 2019 but hasn’t fought in 2020 which is one of the reasons why he is the betting underdog with odds of 2.70.
Means is a veteran in the UFC and the betting favorite with odds of 1.50. We are backing the Dirty Bird to win by decision.
