As we expected, this India v Australia series has produced some stunning cricket. It’s just a shame that Australia’s stay in India is so short. Two games into this three match ODI series and the scoreline is locked at 1-1. The decider set is for Bengaluru on Sunday.
We called on India’s experienced top order to respond to the opening loss in Mumbai and they did just that. Contributions from Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli set up a 36 run win. But who will clinch this thrilling series?
What are the cricket odds for India v Australia?
The result markets have been fluid in this series and ahead of Sunday’s decider, India have shortened once again. You can currently back Virat Kohli’s men at odds of 1.72 with Bet365. A win for Australia has been priced up at 2.20.
The teams are so closely matched that it would have been no surprise to see India and Australia at the same win odds of around 1.91. The sportsbooks have sided with India, possibly due to home advantage but the factor of ‘momentum’ could just get them over the line.
India’s bowlers have key wickets to target and the early dismissal of David Warner was crucial. Clearly the Aussies have batsmen who can take this game away but we expect that India’s own batters will build even further now that they’ve hit form. Back India for victory but it could be exceptionally tight.
Match Odds Summary
India 1.72 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Australia 2.20
What are the top batsman odds for India v Australia?
Dhawan, Kohli and Rahul all passed fifty on Friday but Rohit Sharma helped to lay a platform with 42 from 44 balls. India’s batting looks in good shape and it’s Kohli who starts as favourite to top score for the hosts at 3.25 with Bet365. Rohit follows at 3.60 with Betway while Shikhar Dhawan has top scored in the first two games and he looks to be a value Satta at 4.75.
Rahul provided the impetus in the late overs at Rajkot and he is available at 6.00. Other Indian options include Manish Pandey at 7.00, Shreyas Iyer at 8.00 and Shivam Dube at 9.00.
While the Australian openers failed to make an impact in Rajkot, Steve Smith’s 98 kept the tourists in touch for a while. For Sunday’s decider, David Warner is the favourite to score most Aussie runs at 3.50 while Smith and Aaron Finch are both locked at 4.00.
Elsewhere, Marnus Labuschagne made a contribution with 46 on Friday and he can be claimed at 6.50 while other potential Sattas include Peter Handscomb at 7.50, Alex Carey at 8.00 and Ashton Turner at 12.00.
There is some good value in the Indian camp with the in-form KL Rahul moving out to 6.00 but our tip for this game is for Rohit Sharma to top score. Rohit has been patient while Shikhar Dhawan has starred for the hosts but the vice captain may need to step up and make the winning contribution in Bengaluru.

What are the top bowler odds for India v Australia?
We have yet to look at India’s top bowler market in this series. There could be some value in Sunday’s odds. The wickets were shared around on Friday with Mohammed Shami returning best figures. So, the seamers head the betting for Rajkot.
Jasprit Bumrah starts things off at 3.50 with Bet365 while Shami follows at 4.33. Navdeep Saini looks to have a big future in International cricket and he looks generous at 6.00. However, we’re going to focus on the spinners. Ravi Jadeja is quoted at 6.00 but our pick is Kuldeep Yadav at 4.50.
Kuldeep was expensive in Rajkot but he did get the key wicket of Steve Smith. If he bowls at the right time at the late-order batsmen, he’ll deliver at a reasonable price.
India Top Bowler Odds Summary
Bumrah 3.50, Shami 4.33, Kuldeep 4.50 (Bet365 – Editor’s Pick), Jadeja 6.00, Saini 6.00
