With a maiden race, there are many unknowns on the table. We cannot rely on metrics like recent form or past performances, as most of these youngsters are still in the very early stages of their racing careers.
But we do have information on their parentage and quality of bloodlines, which can provide some indications regarding racing potential. Based on that factor, two names stand out from the rest: #1 Arthur and #8 Shaden. Arthur has odds of 5.00 on Paripesa to win the Hyderabad race which gives the horse an implied win probability of 20.00%.
They come from studs who have an excellent record of producing winners. Arthur comes from Kingda Ka, the Australia-origin stud with 290 wins and a whopping 800+ places to his credit (from just 163 horses).
Meanwhile, Shaden’s sire Lord Admiral has also provided fairly consistent winners (198 wins), with another 600+ top-four finishes from just 99 horses. If we had to pick a winner out of the two, we would favor the colt, Arthur. With odds of 5.00, you can expect an INR 500 payout on an INR 100 bet at any of the top betting sites in India.
Other horses with reliable lineages and high potential include #5 Lady Di, #3 Bellagio, and #9 Virangna.
Recommended Betting Tip: Arthur (5.00)

The A.S.Krishna Memorial Cup – RACECARD, RACECOURSE, HORSES & JOCKEY DETAILS
All five horses in this race are fillies, with the same 57 weight rating. But as for the pre-race rating of the contestants, there is a massive gulf between the tote favorite and the rest – the spread is skewed between 23 on the lower end and 80 at the top!
Let’s take a closer look at all the runners for this event. As this is a maiden race, ratings are not a factor for any of the horses. Four of the competitors have raced once before, while the rest will have their debut in this race. Let’s take a look at these colts and fillies and see which one has the best potential to make a mark in this race:
1. ARTHUR – Kingda Ka (AUS) – Godspeed
The bay colt is the issue of Kingda Ka, a well-known stud who has sired 163 horses with a combined win-tally of 290. On the dam’s side, Arthur has Multidimensional as one of his ancestors. His trainer is M Srinivas Reddy. Ashhad Abar is scheduled to ride this colt on its debut race.
2. Jack Daniel – Be Safe-Queen Of Windsor
A bay colt running his second race, Jack Daniel comes from the stables of trainer K Satheesh. In the debut race, he finished dead last in 8th position. He does have the stallion Arazan’s bloodline on his dam’s side. Nakhat Singh will hold his reins on Thursday at Hyderabad.
3. Bellagio (Ex-NAME: LADY DYNAMITE) – Speaking Of Which (IRE) – Clementi
Bellagio is a bay filly from the stables of trainer L D Silva. She has raced once before this event, finishing a commendable 3rd as a 2-year-old. Her sire Speaking of Which has 74 wins on the record books (out of a total of 90 offspring). Nikhil Naidu is her jockey for this race.
4. Bellaque – Perfect Stride (GB) – Fire Song
The bay filly comes from rather ordinary stock – the sire and dam have just 1 win so far from their progeny. She is the first issue on her dam’s side as well. Trained by Laxman Singh, Bellaque will be ridden by SS Tanwar on her debut race at Hyderabad on Thursday.
5. Lady Di – Surfrider (IRE) – Showstopper
Running her second race is a bay filly sired by Surfrider – he has 90 wins to his credit as a stud from 70 offspring to date. Lady Di finished 4th on her debut in December at Hyderabad. She is trained by SK Sunderji. Her jockey for the upcoming race is R Ajinkya.
